"I said to the almond tree, "Friend, speak to me of God and the almond tree blossomed."
- Nikos Kazantzakis
The main aim for my drawings and paintings is to be led by the Holy Spirit...In Psalm 19 verse 1 we read;
''All Heaven declares the Glory of God and the skies displays His craftmanship''
The late poet Gerald Manley Hopkins 1844-1889 also shared this same love of God and Nature in his poem, ''Glory to God for dappled things...he fathers forth whose beauty is past change...Praise Him''. I have also been greatly influenced by the Artist and poet William Blake 1757-1827
''To see a World in a grain of Sand and a Heaven in a Wild Flower Hold Infinity in the
palm of your hand and Eternity in an Hour ''
So whether I'm painting a landscape or simply sketching the smallest sparrow my main objective is always to glorify God in all my artwork.
